One of the lessons that should be taught to home school children is history. You may not need history later on in life, but it is one of those topics that are fun to learn and can be fun to teach. Your child can learn the history of the United Kingdom and maybe other’s countries histories if they are interested. To hear about the wars, the victories, how the United Kingdom came to be and what it means to the world today.
You can teach them about the past Prime Ministers and about the Monarchy and who is part of the Royal family today as well as in the past. You can teach them about Princess Diana and what a great lady she was and all that she did for England.
Teaching history dates and events may be too much to learn at once, so if you make history apart of the curriculum then before to go slow and maybe you can type up a list of important dates throughout history and then let your child study them so they can see the dates and events and then they be able to grasp it faster.
History is part of the school’s list of subjects and the curriculum, so it is mandatory that the kids be taught. But the great part and maybe a selling point of getting your child interested is by telling them that the schools require that the kids learn it but that they could learn it as fun. Maybe your child will show an interest in it.
