There are many places to obtain the resources you will need to begin home schooling your child. The best way to decide who to use for these resources is to decide on what you will need. Home school resources are not overly expensive but you don’t want to get something that you don’t need. The goal is to get what you need without paying for things you don’t.
Each grade will be different, you will need more books and workbooks than you did when your child was in the 3rd grade. The basic subjects that must be taught are English, History, Geography, Math and Science. You won’t need these for the younger children but as they get older the more resources you will need.
There are textbooks, lesson plans, tests, readers, maps, and workbooks not to mention the teacher’s version of the textbooks so you can teach your child a step above them. Some websites have more package deals where you can get everything you need and some things you don’t need at a better price.
Do your self a favor and check out the resources for each grade at the time you are teaching, don’t look ahead, focus on the grade level you are on. This will be easier for you in the long run.
